Fair Contract Now – Bargaining Update 2024

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

We want to thank the membership for your commitment and support throughout 2023, and we wish you all a Happy New Year in 2024.

While this marks the first instance where Local 2004 has bargained past contract expiry, we want to assure you that there is no cause for alarm. Talks are progressing productively, and currently, we are not in a legal lockout or strike position. Operations will continue as usual in the field.

In the coming week, we will be hosting a series of Town Hall calls, and we strongly urge all members to attend. We apologize to those who were unable to join the last call due to high demand, and we have implemented changes to ensure that everyone can now participate. The unexpected overwhelming support and participation caught us off guard, and we appreciate your participation.

It is crucial that as many members as possible attend these calls. The meetings will follow a national format, allowing you to choose a time that best suits your schedule.

As bargaining discussions progress, we remain committed to providing detailed updates and sharing as much information as possible without disrupting the negotiation process. The committee emphasizes the significance of these meetings and the vital information that will be shared. We urge you to reach out to all your contacts and ensure maximum attendance.
