Negotiations Week 4

Your USW Local 2004 Bargaining committee has been hard at work discussing work rules and proposals with the Company. The weeks focus was on wrapping up Flagging, Training, and other outstanding work rules.

We can now return to meet the company to discuss our comprehensive package including wages, travel expenses, benefits and make a final push for the agreement our membership deserves.

The committee has put in long days and will be resuming bargaining in the coming week in Montreal.

Unfortunately, long hours in the coming week will leave us unable to conduct town halls so we ask you follow your local pages for updates in the coming week.

We remain optimistic and discussions continue to be productive. We are confident that we can reach a fair contract to present to our members for ratification but also recognize that monetary bargaining can be the most challenging phase in the process.

We appreciate your continued support and participation - it has not gone unnoticed at the bargaining table.
